Program Description

The Multi-family Housing Rental Assistance program helps pay the rent for low-income tenants who are not able to pay full rent. Payments go to the owners of USDA-financed Rural Rental or Farm Labor Housing.

General Program Requirements

To qualify, you must live in an eligible rural area and be low- or very-low-income.

You can get a listing of available housing in your area from Rural Development’s website. Use the Multifamily Housing Rentals tool to find a property near you. You must apply directly to building management to find out if you qualify.
